My son has colitis, and has lost almost 50 pounds. He's on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, and he can't have foods with gluten, dairy, starch, or sugars (other than natural). We use the Whey powder and mix it in his food to help gain weight. It's slowly helping him to gainhis weight back.
